windows 7 and RE4?

Post by nchatch »

got a new laptop for christmas, went to download RE4 and was gonna transfer all my old files over but figured I would atleast fire it up on the car and see how it did, but am having no luck with the USB cables

Has been working fine for years on my old laptop(with XP)

is it just windows 7 and the 64 bit? I read somewhere on here that its not 64 bit cmpatible, is the only resolve to downgrade my laptop to XP?

As long as the drivers are installed properly then it should work as I just tested it on Windows 7 64 bit.

happened to look and im on a 32bit OS on my new toshiba with windows7 but for some reason when i plug in my romeditor 4 cable to the new toshiba it starts to install but will not fully install, says it was unsucessful.

it did this to me for my aem prolofic cable but i was able to manually install the drivers from prolofics site.

is there anything i can do for this issue? is there a full spot where we can download the drivers?

I was wondering if it was my cable but it works on my laptop with XP

my cable number is 0083 and i tried the ftdi download from the main hondata site but it says "no ftdi device found" so i cant seem to even get that far.

Go to Help, contants and search for "install USB" There you ill find instructions for installing the USB drivers. Follow the instructions for Vista as they will be the closest to 7.
