Error when loading RE4

Postby 7rrivera7 » Thu Feb 19, 2009 3:55 pm

RomEditor4.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This is what I get when I start the program. I've got the USB cable, #0032 connected and it shows up properly in device manager.

How can I troubleshoot this issue?

Properties on the executable show FILE Version 1.0.3.0, PRODUCT Version 1.1 and RELEASE DATE December 2006.

Running under Windows XP SP2 with all patches applied and McAfee Anti-virus version 8.7.

This was working fine on the laptop a few months ago and yesterday when I tried to run it I got the error and continue to get the error.

Thanks!

I'll give it a try later tonight or tomorrow since I'm working right now.

...so can I assume you have central control of whose RE4's with USB cable are allowed ti run

No we don't. It has to do with it checking for updates.

Also download the newest version from our website as the version you have is from Dec. 2006

I'm still getting the same error. Can you post a link to the lastest version?
