Hi guys. First post here.
I bought an 08 si sedan couple of days ago, completely stock. I also previously purchased a used flashpro from another us si.
I have read the instructions on how to install the software and load the tunes.
I loaded the the tune civic race 2 map based stock tuned and as I started the car and revved it I could hear a valve noise. Went for a quick slow spin and the response was awefull with a whole lot o knock/valve noise.
returned the car back to stock in search for solutions so the questions is what could cause this?
Scared the crap out of me and I am scared to load another on there for now.
Anyone experienced this before?
Thanks
Marko

Changing the calibraiton will not change valve noise. Are you still hearing noise with it returned to stock?

Re: fg2/fa5 Stock, tuned problem
The noise is away after changing back to stock.
Tried mucter's stock tune and it was better but afs are out of place. No noise however.
Noise occured after a qui k blip of throttle and during part throtle load. I know it was there cause a friend heard it right away outside the car too.

Are you sure that this was not knock you were hearing?

Pretty sure it was. Sounded like my old integra after my timing belt blew up and i messed up a couple of valves.
What would a knock sound like?
