R18 Tuning advice

Post by R18_Chris »

I'm new to tuning so i need some guidance.
R18A1
Injen CAI
550 boush injectors

just wondering if my tune is OK to drive? been messing with inj. open times. I took the injen CAI AFM Flow and set the inj opening times as close as i could to 14.7 af. its running real rich at WOT but its the closest i have had the strim in closed loop. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well I figured it would take awhile but not this long for a reply. That's rough you pay this amount for a product without any support.

Disable AFM. Enable MAP fuel tables?

I have changed my setup to a turbo. I have been toying around and yes I disabled AFM and I am using a map tune now. Running in open loop to get the AF close to what I want. I am wondering tho when I renable closed loop what WOT pressures should I run in open loop? I figure it is everything from colum 7 up? If not closed loop runs into colom 10 before open loop kicks in. So basically closed loop is into boost pressure. It sucks that I can't hit full boost pressure yet but I will figure it out.

Yeah that's generally the case. Around 750-800mBar is where you want to be on closed loop, which is usually between column 7-8.

I'm just gonna play with the WOT pressure till I get it close. I was wondering if you can blanket set the pressure for each RPM? Say .78 bar? BTW thanks for the reply.

Which injectors do you have?
You can easy tune it with AFM fuel.
Load your map and load your datalog and open the XY Graph (X.Axis:AFM.c Y.Axis: S.TRIM)
The comulated red line must be zero if the line is positiv the car runs lean if the strim (red line) is negative you run rich.

Determine the injector opening time first before you start the AFM fuel adjustment.
