 Post subject: Rev Limiter Problems

At race this weekend we could not raise the rev limiter. we download varous calibrations to get a 8600 rev limit, but on the track we kept hitting it. The data log showed us only hitting 8100 rpms. Could there be a problem with our ecu or vss?
Is it possible to download a 9200 rev limit. This is for a race only car/circle track app. We need it for 100 ft of track.
This was our last race of season and will up grading the valve train and oil pump
