I am about to purchase a Flashpro for my FD2 but have no plans to extensively mod it.The only thing i am considering is a sports cat but wondered if even this is necessary and would i still get decent gains over the stock map?

Yes.. you will get some gains. Try using the Hondata Reflash Map for FD2R. Works fine with most IHE mods and even mild mods car too.

Tho a fine tuning will be much preferred, as u will get the max HP with good mileage, depending on how ur tuner tunes it.
