Installed a pair of new Brian Crower Stage 2 cams and supertech valve springs...
Car registered super high level of knock even at idling...
My mech confirmed valve lash adjustment are good.
If those knocks registered are legit, is my car gone for good?
Anyone can advise? Thanks..

Are you sure the valve lash was measured correctly? (some people experienced with B series engines try to measure the lash between the cam and follower)

Otherwise, the noise is from a cam profile which gives the valve train a lot of jerk. As far as the ECU is concerned you can reduce the knock sensitivity, but you're not going to detect any actual knock. Use at your own risk, as cams with these characteristics tend to break chain tensioners.

Thanks for the reply... I'll get it check again...
Initially though that the brian crower stage 2 is a rather mild sets of cams...
Hope it just the valve lashes...

Your valve train will also cause a lot of false knock. You will have to ignore the factory knock sensor readings and tune it on a dyno with better knock detection devices.

Hi civicRSA, I guess u r right... I returned to my mech n he readjusted for me... End up still e same... Guess I got to forgo e knock control mechanism... Funny thing is my engine still sound normal, when e knock sensor picked up so much noise...
