returned to stock w/o being online?

Post by scttydb411 »

customer has fp and he returned his car to stock, but wasn't online. he's since sold his si. what needs to be done...just connect the fp to laptop and be online? he wants to now sell the fp and no longer has access to the veh. hoping he doesn't have a paperweight now.

If he did not return it to stock and properly unlock it from the vehicle then he more than likely has a paperweight. You can try unlocking it, but if it was not properly returned to stock then it will not work.

paperweight it is. is there any trade in policy? car has long since been sold and getting access to it probably is impossible.

If the vehicle was returned to stock then the FlashPro can still be unlocked.

tried to unlock it last night and it wouldn't work. tried to look @ last file used and it said upload failed. looks like he didn't fully return it to stock. is there a file w/in the unit that can be examined to get the vin# that it's locked to so we can try and track down the car? cust said he traded in car for his evo and that dealer sold it to another dealer or rolled it through the auction.

He should have documentation from his insurance comany and many other places of his old vin number, but if it cannot be unlcocked there is nothing we can do.
