I just got flashpro for my car and I went to go lock it to my ecu, but I get this message in flashpro manager that says:

The calibration in this ECU (Civic Si 2006 US/Canada - Stock) does not match the ECU type (FG2/FA5 Civic Si 2007-2011 US/Canada). If this ECU is returned to stock, then the existing calibration will be lost. Do you want to continue?

What does this mean?

It is a 2006 calibration in a 2007 ECU. Do you have VSA?

Can you use the 'send support information to Hondata' function?

Plug the FlashPro into your vehicle, then into the laptop. Select 'Send Information to Hondata support' from the help menu.

If you don't have a laptop or internet connection near your vehicle then you can plug the FlashPro into the vehicle, switch on the ignition for a couple of seconds so that the FlashPro records the ECU details, then take the FlashPro inside and use any computer with an internet connection and FlashProManager software.

Ok I will do that later today. If i do it by the second method u said ( plugging flashpro into car and turning car on), does flashpro need to be locked to my vehicle? Because its currently NOT locked to my car yet. Also, do u mean actually turn on the car so its running? or just turn the key to the on positions (position II)?

No, the FlashPro does not need to be locked to the vehicle. The key should be turned to the on position, but the car does not need to be started.

I just sent the info to Hondata Support through flashpro manager. Let me know that you got it!

Ok, got the information. The problem is that the ECU has been reflashed by FlashPro before. Don't worry about the return to stock warning - go ahead and lock the FlashPro to the ECU and reflash it. Also, I suggest using FlashProManager 1.1.9.6 (latest version).

So, I wont be able to lock the flashpro to my car without it flashing my ecu to stock? I'm not ready to upload a new tune yet, but I wanted to just lock my flashpro and be able to adjust a few things on the existing tune. I guess I cant do that?

I have a customer's car i'm currently trying to tune right now..

Its giving me the same error code, this is on a 2011 Civic SI however. The FP will not lock to the car, however the datalog and everything works fine.. i've tried just about everything i could think of, and the FP will not lock, i've not had this error before either.

Car is also, brand new, car was bought March 12th 2011, FlashPRO was bought just yesterday here at lightning.. Really upsetting right now..
