Due to the limited datalogging space and the fact that most work computers are locked down, being able to download, save and then delete a datalog from the FlashPro unit would be very helpful for long commuters.

The logs in the morning will be different than the logs in the afternoon just from air temp differences. My commute is roughly an hour and a half typically and I didn't even finish my commute into work and cannot log more until I can copy and empty the log in the unit. However, my work computer is locked down so installing the full manager is not possible.

Tomas
if you don't have any datalogs on the flashpro. It has enough memory to log up to 7hrs on the fastest setting or 21hrs on the slowest setting.

are you datalog file over 180-190mb?

Save Datalog
  • Show progress bar while compressing the datalog;
  • When multiple datalogs selected, ask the path/filname to save and then make the download,
in this way the user pass the parameters/file names and then the process of saving if faster and
    without stops.
Delete All datalogs (bug)
The values for Memory and Recordings remain the same.

Flash Light
Flash Light in Dash, in case of specific function selected, be selecting from a combobox.
Example:

Code: Select all

	(Light in Dash) (Function Selected)
  	Alternator Light [Traction Control]
Check Engine Light [ Knock Control ]
					[ Dataloging ]
					[ Active Tuning ]
	Battery [ «Sensor Value» ] Min: 10 Max: 15

  • Dataloging - Blink while Recording in dash;
  • Active Tuning - Reach the maximum change or blink while performing tuning and
stop as Maximum Change reached, in this way the driver knows that is time to
    download tables, analise and merge;
  • Sensor Value - Select the Min and Max value to light Blink. This could
be any sensor recorded and warning the user that a specific value has
his not in the values setup. This could be a tool to diagnose a specific
sensor on track and/or at certain conditions.

I'd like to see the Carb version of Flashpro have the Econ function so you can run the stock tune for daily driving.

Currently it is as follows:
If a gear is engaged, the car can also be started with the start button.
So it does not matter, if a gear is engaged or not, because the car can always start.

But, it should be as follows:
If a gear is engaged, starting with the start button should not be possible.
Only when no gear is engaged, a start with the start button be possible.

It could be supplemented as follows:
- Start is only possible if the clutch is pressed.
- Start is only possible if no gear is engaged and the hand brake is applied.
- Start is only possible if a gear is engaged and the clutch is pressed

I think with Hondata it is possible to incorporate this feature.
Honda has not thought this enough!

BTW:
I'm just not sure if it is possible to check the status of the clutch pedal with the Hondata!?

Fuel overrun: Let me Setup a time until shut/cut off the injectors if the clutch is pressed.

Please improve the idle Speed Setup like in the S300
(Increase the engine speed to 2500 - 3000 rpm and abruptly let off the throttle.  If the engine speed dips below 850 rpm, move the duty cycle slider to the right. If the engine speed hangs above 850rpm for some time, move the duty cycle slider to left.)

We have (FN2's) dips below 850 rpm and it is very hard to tune it out.... More tool-support would be nice....

For the new Active Tuning... here are some ideas:

Active Tuning Calibration as a Process
Active Tuning with selection of a calibration process.
The user upload the calibration with active tuning enable and a
option named Procedure and the user selects the procedure from a combobox.
For example the user selects what type of tune wants to be done (AMF,
Fuel, VTEC Point, WOT, ...)
And the process of tune is managed by ECU, following every step.
The use of dashboard lights warns the user to repeat, start or stop a new pull.
In case the procedure is followed in a correct way, the active tuning
tables are available.

Progressive Active Tuning
Allowing the Active Tuning to tune only by columns(pressure) or lines(rpms)
changing one column at the time, until x% of that columns is tunned.
For example: the active tuning process start at 2º column and after 80% of
that column is tunned the tuning process goes to the next column.
A dash board ligth could blink warning the user that the procedure is completed.

Smart Selection in active tuning
Option if selected will allow to automatic fill the
selected range in conditions with the range of selected values.
For faster implementation a shortcut key like Ctrl+Enter to fill
the range in conditions. Idea from the famous Ctrl+J to adjust values.

Active Tuning Strategies
Apply tuning strategy like AutoTune, Closest Cell, 4 Weighted Cell, Precise Cell.

Active Tuning Memory
Reduce memory usage by applyed only for a specific range of cells defined within conditions value.
This way the ECU memory to use would be less, and active tuning table in memory
will be for example 2000 rpm's@200 mBar to 4000 rpm's@513 mBar.
In this way, Active tuning could be applied for other models.
If in case the memory is lower, the conditions have to be set lower, allowing to tune
a small goup of cells.

How about fk8 TypeR support? :)
Any news regarding that?

Air Lambda cell Table
Air Lambda Unit as Tooltips in cell or as a button with the tables.
Provides the user to see the lambda or AF at distance of a button,
insted of changing the settings every time.

Active Tuning Target Lambda
Use in target lambda sometingh similar as Overlay Target Lambda present in settings.
or just a simple textbox with Target Lambda/AF at Low, High and WOT.

Request: option to auto start data logging (ie without hitting the button), overwritting old files as space is needed of course.

Flashpro shifting

Good evening we messaged last week on CivicX. Here is the datalog you requested regarding my shifting trouble. Im am running the +9 with the Full throttle shift disabled.

Hopefully you can see what I was speaking of when I said falls on its face. And again please forgive me Im sure there is a better term. I was able to duplicate it on the last pull.

Also have an Injen SRI.

On a side note if you might see any indication that I'm going to blow up my car let me know please because I have no idea what I'm looking at!

Thank you very much. I really appreciate any help.

this is hte wrong thread for trouble shooting
you should post it in the 2016 civic section

I took a quick look at the datalog and you are running really rich. I would recommend that you run the stock intake calibration over the Injen calibrations. They seem to run rich for most people

also what car is this? It's not picking up a AFM voltage

I believe its a 2017 civic Si? IF it is forget what i said about the stock calibration with the injen intake. Looks like you need to calibrate the AFM table. also I'm not sure why your Tpedal is only running 40%. I'm not sure if thats normal on the Si datalogging

I would like to request active tuning for ignition tables. Something simple that basically reduces ignition timing when knock occurs in a particular cell. This is useful because, although you may have your ignition timing “set”, the cars are driven in a variety of conditions. Lapping the car in a race track can’t be replicated in the dyno. So if the car starts knocking in a particular cell it would be nice to have the ecu adjust the ignition timing in that cell.

High VTC tables
Add a feature to use VTC Tables only in Higher CAM
and/or
Use VTC Tables with a percentage of Throttle Pedal, RPM or Pressure.

AutoSave in FlashPro Manager
Use the autosave process when saving a datalog from FP.
In Save datalog verify if Autosave datalogs is enable,
if so process the datalogs with the autosave feature.

Saving the Datalog as CSV
Add as a option, in datalog settings, to allow the user as saving the
datalogs and at the end of the process run Export to csv with the same name.

Thanks, keep the good work.
