First datalog after cal upload is always blank

Post by sockr1 »

So every time I upload a calibration to my ECU, the first datalog after that is blank. In Flashpro manager, the Flashpro pop up window shows the datalog and it is a large file (25 minute datalog) but when I "Save As" or download the datalog, it goes down to 1kb and no data shows up on any table or graph.

I usually datalog for 1 minute after uploading a cal, then start a new datalog due to this issue. But sometimes I forget and this morning I did a 25 minute datalog and then came back and had no data showing up in Flashpro manager. This is frustrating and I'm wondering if this is an on-going issue.

I have a 2008 Acura TL and bought one of the first Flashpros when it was released for my car...not sure if that makes any difference, and I'm on the latest firmware.

Are you starting the datalog using the button on the FlashPro?

I've been getting a LOT of empty datalogs from eTuning clients over the past few months.

hondata any update on this? i've heard from quite a few flashpro people now and they are having the same issue with the blank datalogs, which is very frustrating when you do a 30 min log after work and it's blank when you get home

I keep forgetting to post about it, but my eTune clients OFTEN send me datalogs that are empty (1KB). When I email them about it, they say that the datalog shows a bigger size in FPM, but they aren't able to view it. It has happened dozens of times recently.

It works ok for the models I have tested.

To narrow it down, what model do you have, and are you power cycling the ignition after uploading? Also is the upload made via the FlashPro or with the laptop?

1.9.3 was released in September 2014. You should download the latest version (currently 2.0.1).
