Warmup afr

Post by honda_racer07 »

When setting up my vehicle for warmup in the cold temps of chicago. Is there a air fuel ratio that we shoot for? People always state that honda run really rich when warming up. I’m only trying to understand warm up crank is solid warmup at certain temps it’s hunting. Once warmed to a certain temp it goes away. Oh it’s a 07 civic si setup n/a

Added a cold warmup data log if it helps. I tuned out the warmer issues but now it's getting into the 30's and I need help adjusting this one.

You appear to have some kind of air leak that is causing this. Your ignition is all over the place even after it starts warming up.

Thank you, I learned you can't run a pcv to a catch can that has a filter on top. reattached it the correct way to the manifold and re-read the vehicle this morning. Can't find anymore leaks so is what I'm left with a tuning issue? I am running the J35 throttle body w/ Idle Air Assist Valve delete. Just let me know your knowledge has always been welcome.

Try putting the stock throttle body back on.

There's no reasonable way to tune this out?

Start by seeing if putting the stock throttle body back on resolves the issue.

Ok, stock throttlebody on same results. Let me if there’s anything else you need me to test.

I’ll check if the intake manifold thermal gasket has a leak would be really strange that this just showed up there. I have checked all hoses and with the stock throttle body and it’s thermal gasket re-tightened not finding any leaks.

I noticed that my issue only happens in open loop when cold. First start / anymore thoughts? If you need a newlog let me know.

IF you use the stock throttle body and return the ecu to stock does the problem persist?

Should I just flash a stock cal into it or unmarry the interface?

Wait this could be an issue as the vehicle is setup for map tuning only. No maf

You should put the MAF back as well. This will help you determine what is causing the issue. You do not need to unlock the FlashPro, just return the ECU to stock.
