Question re: econ button and sport mode

Post by jrettew »

I run a Hondata recommended calibration for my 2018 Sport Touring Hatch CVT with the Econ Button Boost choice NOT checked. Can you confirm or correct my assumptions about how the econ button will work:

In D mode, Econ Button OFF: Values in Torque Limit Table applied
In D mode, Econ Button ON: Values in Torque Limit "Economy" Table applied
In S mode, Econ Button OFF: Values in Torque Limit Table applied, and RPM "shift" are points are increased.
In S mode, Econ Button ON: Values in Torque Limit "Economy" Table applied and RPM "shift" points are increased.

I guess it's that last combo I'm most unsure of.

Thanks

The button has the same effect in all modes for the transmission.

Thanks. So just to be crystal clear. When I press the econ button (assuming I've not checked "econ button boost") then I will be running with the lowered values in the economy torque limit table, even if I am in S mode. Correct?

No If you have the Hondata mode checked then you can have stock boost levels with in econ. Without it checked you have increased boost levels in all modes.
