Okay, numerous steps have been taken to try to troubleshoot this issue..

When trying to talk to the blue box (s200)via USB to serial cables, the romeditor software will show a connection, but when going to the ECU information screen, it will show "communication error" along with no information provided within the table (obviously).

Now upon reading information upon this forum, we have switched from Radioshack USB to serial cables to the "never failing" Keyspan cables...ironically...same issue.

The whole issue came about when we were informed of a possible issue with the 3.6.4 version pertaining to oxygen sensor codes being thrown at random times, and was aware upgrading to 3.6.5 and reburning the rom would possibly correct the issue.

Ever since the upgrade date, the above issue has occured. From that point forward, uninstalls and re-installs of the radioshack drivers were performed, com port re-assignments were issued and still no luck.

Finally as a hopeful last result, based upon what is said on this forum, we have switched to the Keyspan cables. The OS recognized them much easier and faster than the Radioshack counterpart, but we are still having a communication error..

To top this all of, to take the above computer out of the equation and troubleshoot further, I have installed the software on another computer with the same result. Now, mind you we are running into the issue with the registration number not being completely functional with the software and we WILL need a new one for other machine installs, however you can still get into hondalogger and connect, but when pulling up the ECU information we get a communication error. Then, within RomEditor, get errors showing Boost, Datalogging, etc.. are not enabled, which is known due to the registration code.

So, all in all, we will need to request more registration codes (multiple installs, home and dyno - which will be made by the dealer), as well some suggestions upon getting past the communication error on the first machine..

Is it possible their could be an error with the actual blue box failing??

Please respond asap with some suggestions

Yes, it could be the s200 itself. Please call us for further troubleshooting.

What is the serial number of the system?

Can you datalog in Hondalogger?

When you say you reburned the chip with the new software, did you actually go to File and click on Convert Rom Version, then save the file and reburn it?
