2013 ILX Calibration

Post by Slip_Angle » Sat Apr 26, 2014 10:06 pm

When filtering calibrations for the 2013 ILX it shows some 2012+ Civic Si Calibrations. I've been advised these are not usable on the ILX. Just wondering why they would filter through if that's the case.

I would like the option to switch off "Fuel Economy Alternator Control"

What makes you think that? The 2012 Si calibrations can be used.

The Si calibrations allow the "fuel economy alternator control" to be enabled, however the ILX calibrations do not. Made me think there are differences. Would really like this feature in the ILX cals.

The calibrations are the same, and can be used.

Flashpro won't let the calibration be uploaded to the ECU.

You must open them as an ILX calibration, not as an SI calibration. This means that the alternator control is not available for the ILX at this time.

When can we expect the alternator control will be available for the ILX?

This is not something which we plan to add for the ILX.

One of the reasons I bought Flashpro was to have this feature...We have cold winters and without a fully charged battery, starting can be a problem.

Correct me if I'm wrong but my thinking is that if it's available on the Si, (which is basically the same car) then is should be a small task to add on the ILX?

I'd assume that Honda has thought it through and tested it.

The ECU code is different between the two vehicles, but they can share calibrations. It's not trivial to add.

How do you open them as an ilx calibration... I'm getting the same error message.

You must choose the vehicle type as the ILX from the New calibration window.
