They are also used at WOT after a certain point. If they are set to lean they will interfere with the WOT adjustment table. This is why the calibrations have this tables flattened in the WOT columns.
The ECU uses the WOT table at first, but over time it starts to run closed loop at WOT, and then uses the LBT table more. The column index is knock retard.
