Activate the Honda LogR app on Pre 2020

Is there any way that the LogR app can be activated to work properly on a pre 2020 FK8 with the Flash Pro? I really want all my gauges in CarPlay and I see that CarPlay status has not been approved for the primary Hondata App.

Well based on other research it was unclear if the 2020 only designation was controlled by the App or the ECU or both.
