2018 2.0T questions

Post by ssnapier »

Is the stage 1 flash able to perform on 87 octane or is 91 the minimum? This is my first Honda so I am a bit of a newbie with these stuff. Are there any other motor, intake or exhaust changes required?

Follow up question, I know with some of these tunes you can see slightly improved mileage (when you keep your foot out of it). Has anyone paid attention to this to determine if that is the case with the stage 1 on this car?

You can use lower than 91 octane, but performance will not be as good. We highly recommend using a minimum of 91.

You would have to ask the many users that already have this to see what their experience is on this.

I cannot find the definition and requirement of Stage 1 and Stage 2. Please provide the link. I am planning to get a 6Speed Manual 2.0T Accord Sport, and the only mod I planned are: Hondata Flash Pro and Tinted windows.

Need to know whether Stage 2 requires Intake and/or exhaust.

Thanks! I got accustomed to the definitions of Stage 1 and 2 on Accessport for other MAKEs.

I saw a blurb in the online manual for the FlashPro that says "Within the USA this product is legal only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a public highway." I have an Accord Sport 2.0T, which is my daily driver... should I not even consider having it flashed? Is it illegal?

Thanks!

We also offer the CARB version which is 50 state legal (CARB approval is still pending on the Accord): https://www.hondata.com/flashpro/flashp ... b?filter=5

Does the CARB version still offer the same Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes as the non-CARB version?

Also, I've read that putting the vehicle in ECON mode (once a reflash has been done) that it is the stock tune. Does this also still apply other ECON settings (such as AC cycling)? Or is it just a pure stock tune with no adjustments?

Thanks!

Yes the CARB version has stage 1 and 2 calibrations. You also have the ability to use the Econ button for Hondata mode if you wish. You can download the software and see exactly how it all works if you wish.
