Ignition Coil Boot question

Post by kornshadow097 »

Hi, I recently tried out the Nology HotWire conversion kit to make the kit use their capacitor wires and had to rip off the rubber boot at the end of the coils.

I noticed that adding wires to a system without them might of been a bad idea, so I want to convert it back to stock, but the only problem is the boot had to be ripped off piece by piece.

My question is this, Does the rubber boot matter? or can I just place the coil on plug's back in no problem without any problems mechanically?

I'm not sure if the boots are made to ground the unit or serve a purpose I may not be aware of.

Please help if you know anything about this!
