Hello Their, First thing, inspect ur timing chain tensioner. Im a Honda Technician at Frontier Honda in Colorado.. We have replaced plenty of K-series engine blocks for the same problem(Low Oil), the shaft on the tensioner should not be more or less than 13.5 mm.. The timing chain tensioner is oil pressure controlled.. If u had low oil in ur engine, chances are pretty high that the Chain tensioner collapsed.. A quick way too check too is, remove the valve cover and put the bottom end on time, and check the cam gears to see if the notches line up.. The problem with these K-series engines is the Oil rings... The oil rings collapse causing oil to leak into the combusting chamber.. If u have a BORE SCOPE, inspect the Cyl. walls too. If u see black lines going from the top down, u need bottom end work done..
