KPro v.3 connection/board problem ?

Post by sam_eg4 »

Hi all :)

Eg6 with K20A2 on Hondata KPro v.3 s/n 10188 in PRA ecu.
5 years since I've bought civic with KPro, 3 years since I've connected laptop to it to tune smth last time, all fine.
Couple of days ago on usual driving MIL thrown.
I've connected laptop, error was "Daugter board communication error". I've cleared that error and everything was fine till I decided to add some fuel to maps and upload.
Trying to upload (Kmanager 4.4.1) shows a warning "the calibration in ECU is from an older version of Kmanager. Please re-upload calibration before datalogging"
Okay then, while further uploading it shows error "Upload failed"
Since that moment, when connecting USB cable to Hondata, indicator near to Hondata's usb blinks green once and then blinks red, more rapidly when datalogging is on. When usb is disconnected blinks red.
on connection Kmanager tooltips datalogging possibility as usual, F10 starts datalogging.
Uploading calibrations always fails, display data shows some rubbish. MIL on dash is shown, but error code cannot be read to laptop, RPM limits to 4000.
I've tried erasing ECU - fails.

I've checked all connections, soldering wires on under side of ECU's mainboard, all OK.

What I've done wrong & how to fix it now ?

Need your advise, thanks in advance.

This needs to go back to the installer that did the work as it has cold solder joints.
