Issues on DC2 EUDM and S300

Post by Ice71 »

I've some questions about the setup I used yesterday.
We had an european DC2 ('97) with P72A (USDM), Hondata harness and S300.
No problems about mapping. Only problems with some parameters:

- We can't read knock sensor voltage (always 0.00V)
- We can't go in closed loop without error 41 (O2 sensor heater error)
- There is a strange noise coming out front A/C condensed water purge (with original ECU there isn't) like a little motor always on

Excluding these little problems the car runs very well and we do a great mapping job on the road with a wideband.....a very high step-up in performances.

Knock will not read until the car is fully warm. Also make sure th knock sensor is enabled. Does the ECU have a separate knock board inside?

Without knowing how you have th e oxygen sensor hooked up it's hard to determine why you have an error, but you can disable the error, or depending on your setup read http://www.hondata.com/techwidebandtuning.html

I have no idea what the noise you are referring to is or could be. Try disconnecting different plugs and see if it goes away.

The ECU is a USA P72A with daughter-board inside....took from a GSR Integra.
The knock sensor is enabled but the value in SENSORS window is always 0.00.

About oxygen sensor: I mapped the car with an EXTERNAL LSU4.2; the car is perfecly mapped in open loop; now I reinstalled the original narrowband and enabled closed loop for MAP<780mbar but I obtain a "O2 heater error" - 41; if I go in open loop it doesn't appear; if I disable heater the sensor doesn't work well.

If you cut J1 and allow the ECU to run stock, do you get the same error?

Now I tried to reuse original P73 and the strange noise, coming out from CANISTER system, went away.
With modded P72A, it's present at low TPS and it's terribly loud.
Tonight I'll try to cut J1.

Disconnect de EV cannister because it is allows on in no OBDII ECU.
