HONDATA app on iOS does not automatically reconnect to Bluetooth

Post by yakutanoki »

# Various versions
FlashPro manager : 4.0.3.0
iOS : 16.2 (iphone12mini) & 12.5.6 (iPhone5s) *The problem occurs on both devices.
iOS application : 1.4.1

# Incident
After connecting FlashPro and iPhone, I can use it for about 10 minutes without any problem.
However, suddenly the sensor value is not updated.
The app seems to maintain the connection with FlashPro, but the values are not updated.
If I task kill the app once and then restart it, it stays in the "Searching" state and does not reconnect.
If I perform an unplug and plug FlashPro from OBD (restart FlashPro), it will be able to connect again.
However, the same problem occurs again after about 10 to 15 minutes.

I would like to solve this problem as soon as possible, because it is very difficult to restart FlashPro many times.

With everything plugged in and the ignition in the on position, go to the Help menu and click on “send feedback”. Include a detailed description of the issue.

Thanks.

Do I need to "send feedback" when an event is occurring?
Or is it ok to "send feedback" when Flashpro and iPhone have a good Bluetooth connection?

I have sent two pieces of feedback.

#1.
After getting into my car, with the ignition on, but not the engine running.
Flashpro,iPhone5s connected and sending feedback.
I think I am in the car with no problems.

#2.
After 5 minutes of driving, the values displayed on the iPhone stopped updating, so I sent feedback with the iPhone in that state.
I think I am in a state of having a problem with my car.

Thank you for your patience and please check back with us.

Our software engineers have been made aware of this and are looking into it.

It seems that the iOS app has undergone several updates, but this issue has not yet been resolved. If the connection is lost, you need to unplug and plug in the OBD connector. In addition, you can restore it by toggling the Bluetooth checkbox for FlashPro within FlashPro Manager.

I thought that if there was an option to toggle Bluetooth OFF/ON for FlashPro every 5 minutes, it could be a temporary solution.

By the way, it appears that the HONDATA app can no longer be downloaded in Japan. Has the app's updates been discontinued? Hondata Complete is still available for download in Japan, though.

What is the status of the investigation of this issue?
Much time has passed since we inquired.
This is a paid application and I would like to see a proper response.

Please check with us as we are really troubled.

We have extensively tested the app on both IOS and Android with all versions of the FlashPro and have not been able to reproduce any issues like this.

With everything plugged in and the ignition in the on position, go to the Help menu and click on “send feedback”. Include a detailed description of the issue.

I am experiencing symptoms identical to this. Flashpro used on a FA5.
