Unable to upload a new calibration to the ECU FK8 facelift

Post by mariusramm »

Car: Honda Civic FK8 (November 2020 - facelift)
Software: Hondata FlashPro Manager 4.1.0.0
Problem: When I connect the FlashPro to my car, the "upload" button is not available in the FlashPro Manager. It's simply greyed out. The only way to upload a new calibration is to use the Jailbreaker module.
Last time it worked without the jailbreaker was on the of 5th of May 2023.
Changes on the car since then: I've taken it to the Honda dealer to fix the air conditioning system (usual problem for Gen 10). But they haven't done any software updates on the ECU or any other software change.

Has anyone else got this issue?
I've sent a feedback form to technical support, but it's useless for now.

Cheers,
Marius

I guess you are referring to the instructions email that I got from support@hondata.com. I've followed both tests and sent the feedback plus I've attached a photo of my laptop as further proof.

Update:
I've left the car's battery to charge on an automated charger overnight, ran another test with the Flash Pro just now and I can upload the calibration. The car was mostly abandoned for the last two years so probably needs a new battery.

Advice to anyone that may encounter the same issue: check your battery first.

Thank you, this thread can be closed - problem solved.
