anyone running 2000cc injectors from xdi on their cars?
hondata, have you ran tests with these injectors with flashpro for the fk8?
I've seen a couple tuners that claim they're using 2000cc xdi injectors, but i also see that the 2000cc injectors from xdi only work with motec. Is there any special type of tuning involved for these injectors to work with hondata? I don't want to invest 6 grand on a motec ecu, if its possible that flashpro can get the job done too.

We have run those injectors on our cars. What you are asking is whether the stock ECU can run those injectors. That answer is yes. But the spray pattern is such that you have to reduce the fuel pressure all the way down to 10 or 15 bar at light load and even then the fuel trims have significant variation.
There's also the question of the flow rate. We flow our injectors at 100 bar using a stoddard test fluid. The xdi injectors are flowed at a higher pressure and converted to n-heptane figures. So the difference between those injectors and our larger injectors is about 10-15% from memory.

I recently installed the 2000's in my FK8 and got it running. My issue is that the INJ ms is hovering around .56ms and XDI recommends >.8ms. To do so they say to reduce fuel pressure in 50psi increments until above the .8ms. I was adjusting the tables labeled "Fuel Pressure (idle)" and "Fuel Pressure (normal)". I've pulled 200psi from those tables so far and no change.
What tables do we use for this?

Fuel pressure changes are working correctly. You need to reduce the fuel pressure much more. Down to 10 or 15 bar at idle.

Roger. I did just that and got idle inline with spec. Now my part throttle still needs help so I'll keep at it. Should I adjust the "split injection" table in the same manner as my other 2 tables?

So looks like that split injection table is turned off but I mirrored the normal table. Once everything was good, now my L.Trim is pulling about 6-7% fuel across the board. I made adjustments to the AFM table since it was literally all idle and part throttle by about 4% to see if it comes closer to 0%. If it's under the +-5% I'll leave it alone.

L.Trim is stored by rpm.
Don't use fuel trims are idle for adjustment - there's too much temperature effect and you'll just chase your tail all day long.
With the vehicle warm you'll want to do long periods of steady throttle so the temperatures have time to settle and then make adjustments based on the trims. I like to see 5 minutes of driving with no idling and then perhaps 30 seconds or more of steady MAP before making any tuning adjustment.
If you are doing mixing driving then a long datalog graphed on the XY for T.Trim and AFM will give you a good idea about AFM adjustments. Again, steady state is better than transitory events (eg acceleration) but it works ok.
Another good test is to drive at perhaps 40 mph in 3rd or 4th gear and then very very slowly reduce throttle. Then see what the trims do as the injector duration reduces down to injector cut off. You'll want the period between steady speed and injector cut off to be 30 seconds or more and the throttle needs to be steady (for some reason some people can't do that, which is why I keep mentioning it).

I logged a 20 minute drive. I stayed as steady as possible on throttle like you mentioned. My L.Trim was a consistent -6-7% through the entire MAF curve for idle and part throttle operation. I traced it and made sure it hit all of the AFM voltages before I made the change. I reduced my MAF curve by 4% first to see if it actually changed and it did. My L.Trim dropped to -2% so I went ahead and reduced the MAF curve again by 2% making sure I didnt cross my WOT area. L.Trim is now at 0 and I only have the normal S.Trim small number fluctuations.
I went back to e50 and made a WOT pull and felt some hesitation. Looked at the log and I noticed my DIFP and DIFPCMD is a lot lower than it used to be as it used to hit 2800-2900 but now its touching 1700-1800 and theres a window where the pump is off from CMD from 5000-7000rpm. Have you figure this out by any chance? My logs kinda looks like yours. But mine is when the AC is on. Yours is by far a bit better than mine.

My tuner did. I got it as far as I could but still had a drop. The secret is definitely in the PID’s. Look at the FL5 map and the settings for Full race.

I have tried and struggled to get my car running with the XDI injectors. I have changed the injector size to 2000cc. I have also lowered the minimum pressure to 10bar, but not sure if that is correct. Put max pressure to 250bar and have the default pressure at 180. Not sure if those need any tweaking but would appreciate any input. There have been a couple of times I have got it to run for a decent part of the time but that’s it. As far as adjusting the idle fuel pressure table and the recommendation of lowering it to 10 or 15. Is that just one or two blocks or is it across the whole section of a specific rpm? So far I have only adjusted the table blocks of 13 to 10 and 16 to 15 for the 900 rpm section. I also changed the same blocks under the 1300 rpm exactly the same. I have also been lowering the warm fuel but have had mixed results. I’m probably doing it wrong and would appreciate any recommendations as I am unclear exactly what blocks need to be adjusted to get the idle correct and then I can try to worry about part throttle. Thanks
