why does the fuel cut off??

Post by ramirez8583 »

I have a 2000 gsr with a turbonetics turbo kit. I need a base map so I used the greddy b16 program but the car shuts off. and when it gos in to boost the fuel cuts off. every thing stayed the same besides the injector size from (240 to 525)on the greddy b16 program I need to get the car to a tuner but I need a base map to take it to the tuner. please help!!!

Have you contacted your tuner?

I did but he said to bring it like that with the greddy b16 program. he said that he has programs for turbo but not for those injectors. he said that if he sends me a program with the 440 injector settings and I set it to 525 he said it will still run bad because by changing the injector settings it will also change the Calibration altogether is this true???

If you are just running a base calibration to get the car to a dyno DO NOT go into boost. Given the injector size the tuner should be able to make a base calibration which will let the car drive - with a working o2 sensor, you only need to be within 20% or so.
