WOT Ignition Values
Looking for feedback as to what would explain why my ignition values are lower than expected. In columns 8-10 on the high cam ~4300-4700 my ignition values are 18* rising to ~24*/25* at max rpm. Anymore and I start to see some knock. These values are lower than the base calibrations and other tuned calibrations I've seen.
Part throttle values (columns 3-7) are all similar to the base calibrations and other tuned calibrations.
From a engine theory standpoint I'd like to know why...
Engine runs great, has lots of power.. just curious as any other calibrations I've seen generally have much higher IGN values.
K24a2 /w 06 K24a2 intake cam

There are no specific times because it's always the case. As I mentioned, this is more of a theory question as to why my ignition values would be so low "in general" compared to other similar configurations and calibrations.Spunkster wrote:You have over a 20 minute datalog. In column 7 I start to run 13.5 A/F and open loop (80kpa) but should I? Would this have an effect on ignition values? In WOT, my ignition is low 17 to 23 degrees, which even the stock tunes start much higher...
Is this a result of a tuning issue that you can see or an efficient exhaust or something else? Just looking for some ideas.

Here's what I'm trying to understand.
Cole's Notes
* I tuned my car in summer (temp was about 75 degrees)
* At WOT, the stock tune had too much timing.
* I had to set my timing at WOT much lower than stock to prevent knock.
Why this doesn't make sense to me
* All other calibrations I've seen for K24a2's have much more ignition, especially considering the supporting modifications I have (CAI, exhaust, free flow cat, 06 Intake Cam etc..)
