i have never removed any resistors to connect the wideband.
the thing is: the ELD connector can only read up to 3.8Volts, so your data resolution is from 0-3.8V between rich and lean.
your device gives a resolution between 0 and 5V, so 0V = AFR 10 and 5V = AFR 20
so AFR at 3.8V will be pretty lean, anything above isn't neccessary and dangerous, so you will and should always stay below those 3.8V, since stoich AFR is somewhere around 2.5V.
if you don't care, let it be like it is. it will work just fine.
another option is to change, if possible, the resolution of your gauge. with my innovate LM2 i can just program it, as i like.

So your saying if you do cut the two resistors, then the data resolution is improved from 0-3.8 to 0-5v is this correct?
