I am trying to unlock the flashpro from my car.

I have placed "return ecu to stock" on the FP and took it out to my car to unlock it. I hit Program, red light comes on solid, after about 40seconds it starts flashing nonstop.


I bring FP back inside and it says "---------------------------

Failure information : Code 0x04 Step 16 Address 0x01D800
Explanation: The ECU stopped responding while reflashing. Check OBDII connector pins.

I have been driving the car just fine until I plugged the FP in to unlock it. I have checked all the pins and they are straight. The OBDII port isn't broken or gunked up.... Im at a loss.

Help?

Check the battery voltage, and use a charger if necessary (not one of the starting chargers). Then try to unlock it again. If that doesn't work, send us the support information.

Battery voltage is fine. I just got home from work, its a newish battery etc.



I sent the info twice. I accidentally hit enter before i entered any contact info.

hopefully I can get this straightened out.... I was planning to go to IA in Atlanta tomorrow....

I have emailed Support at hon data a video of what is happening visually with the dash.

10s after the programming starts, the ABS and Airbag light up on the dash. Both stay on for 5s then go off, then the red Progam led on the FP begins blinking.

I have tried reloading a calibration from both Primary and Secondary and pulling power from the battery to see if it may reset the ecu. Nothing works.

Could I pull the ECU and take it to a honda dealership and have them reflash with OEM software?

Issue Resolved. I tried it again this morning and plugged it in, switched ign, hit program and let it sit for 15min. I went inside and just let it blink.

Maybe I wasn't waiting long enough or whatever but i came back out and it was working.

I have always used a laptop to flash before but I no longer have a laptop so this was my first time using the FP alone.
