Can anyone tell me if a turbo if done correctly will be a good add onto FN2 Euro Type- R is the high compression motor not too high ie 11.8.

Some people say you need your compression to be around 8 in order not to possibly blow the motor and in order to do you need to change pistons rods and the whole lot almost.

Other people say that the motors are well designed and have no issues if done correctly but this is a very high cost as is most cool upgrades in life.

Any advice to read articles and more info around from the states.

11.8:1 is quite high for a turbo setup.

here we had a supercharged setup with such a high CR, since the exhaust gases can move freely away from the head and aren't blocked at the turbocharger, that blocks the hot gases near the cylinderhead.

if you want a turbo setup, you should talk to a tuner who has done some setups and knows what to do.

the CR should be, depending on the power you want, somewhere around 9-10:1 (since most of the cars shall stay a daily driver and get some reasonable economics)

such a project isn't done in 2 weekends with a couple of beers. it's more a project, which should be planned properly, to get the solution you want and not one that anybody tolds you to do.

I just completed one..... a 5mnth project. Its a "bolt on" install on the stock K20Z4 for now, had to manufacture a sidewinder manifold, due to space constraints between the motor and firewall! Battery and ecu had to be relocated, and to be honest.... its a pain in the behind... there is NO space.

Used Flashpro, Precision 5857SP turbo,750cc inj, FMIC Walbro 255... the usual stuff.

210kw/380nm @ 0.5 bar on the wheels.
