S300 ECU just died

Post by 7rrivera7 »

Driving home from work and while decelerating for a red light the car turns off with a solid CE light. It cranks but won't start. Since I resell, chip, tune and repair OBD1 ECUs, I pull a customers ECU from the trunk and the car starts right up. I drive to the nearest gas station to troubleshoot the S300 ECU and it's not activating the fuel pump or mail relay so I drive home on the customers ECU which had a B16 basemap on it just like my engine.

I get home and put the S300 ECU on my SIM and the only LEDs are CE and ignition output pulsing. I remove the S300 board and the ECU fires up in limp mode so I know it's good but in limp (all injectors pulsing on backup processor) because J1 in jumpered and the S300 is not installed.

I install the S300 onto another ECU prepped for Hondata and it does the same thing so my less than 1 year old S300 if fubared.

The serial number is 25193 and it's a red board. What are my options? Thank you Spunkster!

From Help, About, what version of software are you using?

With everything plugged in and the ignition on, go to the online menu and click on erase ECU. When that finishes, close the program and reopen it. Then go to new calibration and load a fresh calibration and upload it to the ECU and see if that resolves the issue you are having.

Ok, I'll try that tonight. Thank you Spunkster!

For what it's worth, I install most of the S300's Mark sells here in PR (Import Performance) and even the ones that are purchased online from Florida and shipped here.

Spunkster, the S300 does absolutly nothing. D1/D2 do not light and Smanager does not detect the board. The CE light stays lit on the cluster and the main relay does not activate the fuel pump. I also swapped the ECU with another one I have running a V3 board and it does the same thing. I'm pretty sure the V2 board has failed.

Please let me know my options. I installed it in my own personal car about 3-4 months ago to promote the S300 tecnology because I could not sell it since everyone wants the V3 board. Before that, I was running a V1 board for several years without issue and sold it to get the V2 in order to test the additional inputs/outputs. Thank you for your help!
