cannot upload a manual calibration

Post by langsbr »

Hi, I had my calibration loaded and working fine. Recently flashpro manager was updated and when i connected my flashpro it said it had to update the firmware. It did that, then I downloaded my calibration, made a couple changes and when I went to upload them it said it was trying to upload a 2007 manual to a at base 2007-2008 and it could not do it. What has happened?

I made the mistake of uploading a 2007 at calibration, and now of course I have codes for the transmission, but it won't let me revert to the manual calibration.

Can anyone assist? This is terrible!

After further investigation, I see this posted on Hondatas site:

-Can I use an 08 AT TL ECU with my MT?
No. That ECU is not supported for overwriting with a MT program.

Is that new, or changed information for some reason? I purchased my Hondata and ecu a few months ago and the vin on the ECU is saying it is a 2008, but it worked fine. I had the 2004-2006 MT calibration loaded without issue.

I know I'm not crazy because the VIN is showing in the history, and I even disabled the secondary O2 sensor on the original 2004-2006MT calibration. There were no codes for the transmission either. Everything has been fine until today when I connected the flashpro and it did a firmware upgrade and then it wouldnt allow me to upload any additional calibrations.

Now I have an AT calibration on my car - Am I stuck purchasing a new ECU? I KNOW that it did work - why the change?

I knew I wasn't crazy. I found this on the list of Hondata updates:

FlashProManager 1.8.0.0 Beta
Thu, 04/03/2014 - 1:00pm
· FlashPro firmware updated to version 62
· Bluetooth enabled
· [07-08 TSX] Added ability to program AT ECU with MT program
· [TL] Added ability to program AT ECU with MT program, only base model ECU (RDA-A85)
· [2006 R18 MT Civic] Added support for the RNA-A150 calibration.
· [CR-Z] Fixed misfire code disable.

I have an RDA-A85 ECU. What has changed in firmware version 67 from 62 that I can no longer use my Hondata?

Hondata - is there any resolution for me on this?

Here is the error I get:
Image

- serial number of your FlashPro - FP-TL-US-140075
- FlashPro Manager version (not 'the latest') - 1.93
- the calibration (as an attachment) - it was the included 04-06 MT cal
- a datalog of a problem (as an attachment) - Not a tuning issue
- what sort of vehicle you have - 04 Acura TL 6MT
- what sort of ECU you are using - 37805-RDA-A850
- anything about the car which has been modified from stock which may affect the ECU (don't include what sort of rims you have nor stereo etc). - bone stock
- a specific description of the problem - Please see above

Try the beta version from the downloads section of the website.

Thanks Spunkster, that did it. Working in IT, it is counterintuitive for me to think a beta would perform better than the latest stable release. Next time I'll remember this on this stuff. Thanks again!

Beta versions often incorporate new features and are as stable as release versions.
