Misfire at redline with +9 Flash

Post by Jamroxorz »

Hey. I have a 2017 MT HB Sport Touring. I've been running +9 basemap with Injen SRI. Recently while passing someone with WOTin 2nd gear, my car went into limp mode and cel came on. After pulling over and restarting, it cleared and went back to normal. I wasn't logging at the time, but later i tried recreating the event. It seems when I hit just before reline, the engine misfires throwing codes P0300 to P0304. I did more tests and the same issue happened in 3rd gear as well. I've attached my 2nd gear log to see if anyone can spot something strange in it.

car has 2350km on it
running shell v-power 91
engine is warmed up during these events

Here's a log with the Stock Tune Loaded - and with the Injen SRI bolted on.

Here's the calibration I was using that was causing the misfires

Just a update on this. I end up tuning his AFM on it. For some odd reason his setup makes it run really rich. I tested the AFM on my car and it wasn't that badly off like his

Thanks for the update. What we have found is that without the keys that Honda places in the intake tubes to make sure they are aligned, if you assemble the intake tubes with the clamps a little different or the tube crooked then the air flow will be read differently. Not sure if that was the cause, but definitely with aftermarket intakes there is a variation of anywhere up to 30%.

i recommend the calibration with the stock intake over Injen calibration. it seem to run rich for a lot of people. Or just get the car tuned

Yes, use the calibration for the stock intake.
