J37 throttle high cold idle

Post by CivicVTi »

I have installed a J37 throttle on my 06 supercharged TSX. When hot, everything works fine (idles at 800rpm no problem) but cold idle is very high, reaching fuel cut. I tried ignition retard when cold but this does not seem to work as intended. I guess stock ECU uses another throttle MAP when cold and even a small angle change results in high flow changes with this TB. Any workarounds Hondata?

The throttle flows more at small openings so the ECU doesn't relate idle correctly. Try the throttle learn procedure after reflashing because that may be necessary.
