Fuel Leak?

Post by COMplex »

I'm hoping Hondata or someone here might be able to shed some light on an issue I'm having.

I recently installed a Walbro 255lph pump, and switched to e85 fuel.

At the e85 pump, if I let the pump auto stop (normally around 12 gallons with 3 bars remaining on gauge) a few seconds after a pull the nozzle out, fuel starts pouring out from under the car. (driver side of the top of the fuel tank from what I can tell - not the nozzle)

I took the back seat back out to check my work, and all the lines were on tight, and no signs of residue around the fuel pump housing (the big screw top)

However, there was some residue on the top of the fuel tank, on the driver side. There is another line coming out there (unsure of its function) and it almost seems like fuel is pooling up there, and once the tank fills to capacity, it spills over.

This has been doing this since the first time I filled up with e85.

See attached picture for reference (not my car) I believe the fuel is leaking from the top of the fuel tank near the area that is circled.

Any ideas at all?
