FD2 type R upper and lower gauge compatibility

Post by ajpturbopittsburgh »

I bought the upper and lower gauge from the FD2 type R for $800 and took a chance. There are compatibility issues. The tach and speedo work but not the fuel level. These gauges are nice because they have the 8500rpm reline and a vtec indicator and look really nice.

I've read alot of different things but nothing helps.

Do I need a Type R computer to make them work?

Could I buy a type R ECU and have my car tuned again or use my existing calibrations and modify them if nessassary?

I have an FA5 North american SI sedan 2008

Hey hondata since you moved this thread and looked at it, any ideas?

If I bought a new ECU from a type R would I be able to use my flashpro for tuning and how would the car resopond with the ECU?

I think alot of people would be interested in this if it's a viable option.

Hey Hondata any chance you could help me solve this riddle?

I'd be willing to buy a type R ECU if I knew I'd be able to flash it and use it on my FA5.

Thanks
