And seriously, how am I expected to drive around while holding down ctrl+T...

For safety any tuning should be done with 2 people.

Well, I tried driving around holding ctrl+T for a little bit...didn't seem to do much.

Tell me please if this method for autotune is correct or not:

1. Load calibration.
2. Set as base.
3. Drive around under different loads to get a good average lambda correction suggestion.
4. Ctrl+T (which then autotunes the lambda suggestions).
5. Set as base (so that the newly autotuned map is the current base from which to tune against).
6. Drive, ctrl+T, set as base.
7. Drive, ctrl+T, set as base.
8. Drive, ctrl+T, set as base.
9. Drive, ctrl+T, set as base.
10. Drive, ctrl+T, set as base.

Am I getting this right?

The only advantage to holding ctrl+T while driving is that the changes are made in real time, correct?

It will only autotune when CTRL-T is held down and you are driving around. Just pressing it with a datalog will do nothing.

I personally do not find the autotune feature to aid much in my own tuning as it tends to make jagged lines and then I have to clean it up. I find it easier to drive around and record then come home and make some changes and drive around and record again, then make any needed changes.

Oh okay.

Those instructions for Autotune I found were for Hondata Romeditor. Sounds like a more efficient way of using autotune, because it takes averages over multiple load conditions as opposed to tuning it in real time (and resulting in jagged fuel curves).

Know what I mean?

You dont have to keep holding Ctrl+T all the time.Just one time is enough. If parameters/settings are done right you will hear sounds of it making chnages in real time.Here check this out

It seems that the kpro v4 has the one button press autotune with sounds when changes are made. If I'm not mistaken and please let me know if it's incorrect but the s300 v3 does require you to continuously hold ctrl t while driving around. My question is does it require you to be in open loop closed loop disabled to function or does it function in any setting? Ie: closed lambda target

CTRL-T must be held down for the s300. It is best to do it in open loop so that the closed loop settings are not fighting against you.

There are programs that you can download to simulate/hold keystroke. Macros and autoclickers and such. Just have to search around

Here i found a detailed video on youtube. supposidly you need to press CTRL+T once to start but if not just that. setting the parameter and ticking the correct options will enable autune otherwise the option for autotune will be greyed out. This dude is tuning even his turbo maps with autotune !!
