2013 SI map for Acuity CAI & q300 - please help
Re: 2013 SI map for Acuity CAI & q300 - please help
Sounds good. The tuning process should be fun, you should never have to dread stuff like this. But I totally understand. Glad it feels strong.
No you won't have any issues at all. It's been very consistent the whole time, so that makes things a lot easier. Changing plugs won't impact anything granted you get the right ones, and they will most likely recommend you don't gap them as the gapping tool can damage the electrode. Most people go NGK, which is what I would recommend. You can always hit me up when you put new plugs in it and we can make a datalog to confirm all is well. If you go with a lower quality plug, or something along those lines, then you might run into issues. The recommended NGK plugs will rarely cause an issue. Yeah you might as well do it if you're going to have the coils off and everything, good idea. Check your belt for cracks too since you'll be in there as well. If it's OEM, it's almost ten years old now.

Sounds good. The newest revision is 🔥. It pulls pretty good for sure. I replaced the belt a while back because I put on NST light weight pulleys. I'll have to look into plugs. I won't buy anything that's cheap or less than oem. Need a windshield washer cap too, won't even buy one of those that's not OEM 🤣. Anyways thanks again for the help. Like I said, the car runs strong. Took it for a spin after work to get something to eat and was pretty surprised. Its super smooth and etc. If I need anything else I know where to come for sure.

Glad it hear it feels strong. Ahh, good call on the belt. I was trying to think of anything you might replace why you're there, haha.
Yeah for plugs, you will probably want to go with NGK 5787 ILZKR7B-11S https://www.ngk.com/ngk-5787-ilzkr7b-11 ... spark-plug . This is the OEM replacement equivalent, if not exactly what you already have from OEM. NGKs seem to have a good wrap for these K-series engines and they're recommended and used by Honda factory.
Have fun with it, when you have time, post another datalog just to make sure the changes worked good. I am positive they will, but just so we can be sure. No rush on it, whenever you can.

Yeah it all looks great man. The fuel stuff worked great and no knock. Have fun with it, everything looks solid. Once you swap the plugs, feel free to hit me up to double check everything and make any adjustments we need.

Good morning, I came across a deal I couldn't pass up on, a RV6 Catted downpipe. Any chance you could help me tune for that or would additional tweaks even be needed?

We can do that. When will you be installed the DP?

Awesome! It would be over this next week or so. I have race ramp cribs so it'll be easier. When I did the cat back I noticed the bolts are a little meh being a car from WI. Does it come out all in one piece or does it have to be separated?

Hey! I got the dp on. threw in new plugs. I attached the 1st log with the dp, I think. Is there a way to see when the logs are created?

Unfortunately no there isn't a way to know by date when the were made. It's okay, let's just run through the cam angles quickly again to get the data and then we'll blend it out once we're done. It will most likely want a little more cam angle with the DP now.
Here is the 15* cam angle. Take this one for a spin when you can, 20 minutes in length with one third gear WOT pull.

Looks good. We will now move to the 30* cam angle with vtec at 5500. Take this one for a spin when you can, same datalog and driving style.
