2015 Civic R18
Hello everyone first time here on the forum. The reason I'm on here is because I have a question and going to explain a little about my car.
So I have a 2015 civic R18(base model) 5 speed and well its not completely stock I just have a 2.5 Takeda catback and then got a stage 1 exedy clutch with a lightweight flywheel. I am currently on hondata which I am running a basemap tune but I recently went in and messed with the preset tunes for my car (there's only like 3 not like the si) so I picked the 3rd tune which activates quicker throttle response and changed when vtec engages on the car other then that I did not mess with anything else. I then uploaded that tune to the car and seems working great it's very responsive but on the other hand I noticed that my shifting is like not hard in a sense but like a bog when shifting. I forgot to mentionlast month I got a new maf sensor in my car because last one was bad.
SOOO..... my question is the tune I currently have causing boggy shifting due to air/fuel ratio if not I have 3 other thoughts it can be below
1. I need a MAF tune on the car due to me picking the 3rd preset tune on hondata due to chsnging air/fuel ratio which I know can cause hard shifting
2. Vacuum leak somewhere in car
3. The car currently has stock injectors which are the 185cc but the 3rd preset tune I'm running for the car on hondata says I need 310cc injectors which I read that those are the si injectors. Someone told me I should be ok running this tune with my 185cc stock injectors.
I'm not sure what can be the problem but someone has to know more then I do I would appreciate any feedback.
I love my R18 here's a photo 📸 of her

The best thing would be to post a datalog of you driving for 10-20 minutes of stop and go city driving. On the drive, you would want to make one third gear wide open throttle (WOT) pull from 2500-redline. That way we can see what the fueling looks like and go from there. If the MAF scaling is way off, it can make the shifts less than smooth because the fueling is off. Either way though, a datalog and the calibration you're driving on would be ideal to see what's going on.
Did you get a CARB FlashPro, or race version? It looks like the calibration you might have grabbed is a CARB tune, but I'll wait to hear from you before getting too far into it.

Thanks for such a quick reply love the forum ! But ok I will have to look up how to do a data log because I don't have a clue lol. I'm positive I don't need new trans fluid because I just changed it like 2 months ago. No I got the correct one the race version !
Re: 2015 Civic R18
Sounds good, here is a little video on how to datalog https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMyLKSx6Te8. It's fairly straightforward, but I know the feeling of the unknown, so if you have any questions let us know.
That's good you got the race version, that means we can make adjustments if needed. I think you might be running the CARB calibration though, but once you make a datalog, post the calibration you have saved as well so we can have that too.
Keep us in the loop.

Re: 2015 Civic R18
Yeah, go ahead and turn that off for now so we can see it without eco mode on.

Re: 2015 Civic R18
I tried doing some logs rite now in 3rd WOT but too much traffic around have to do it later at night. I have a question is it ok during that 20 min drive to hop on the freeway in 3rd an floor it so you can see the fuel consumption? I'd prefer freeway pulls
Re: 2015 Civic R18
Yeah that's fine. I'll try not to have you do too many, I just want to get a good picture of everything right now to see where we sit.

Click on post reply, then under the reply box, there is an "attachments" tab, click on that and upload the datalog and the calibration.
