Can anyone help me setup a base map for my kswap Lotus?

Post by saxon_schmauderer »

Hello!

I am finishing up a rebuild on my wrecked Lotus Elise. I K-Swapped it and looking for a good base map in order to essentially have it idle and also drive it to the tuner to have it dialed in. I bought the motor second-hand. It is a built engine with lots of goodies. The setup:

Frankenstein Build: k24/k20 Head
Port matched head
Port matched Skunk 2 intake
70mm throttle body
Garrett gt3071r turbo
1320 Sidewinder Turbo Manifold
KPro 4 Hondata ECU
1000cc Injectors
340lph Fuel Pump
3 bar Map
Stock upstream sensor
700hp intercooler

I'm looking to eventually make 500(ish) HP on e85. Going to put in a flex fuel sensor soon. I'm just now getting into the k-series motors. I have been very impressed this far with the potential of these things!

Can anyone throw me a tune that would put me in a decent place to do a shake-down test and drive to a tuner?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like an interesting build. Can you provide datalogs with wideband data? Have you reached out to your tuner?

Honestly ,all I've done this far is turn it over. It was not idling well. Also I haven't found a good tuner in my area yet. Currently looking

I figured at least having it idle well and run decently would be a big help for me before I put the clamshell back on to take it to the tuner. I didn't want to spend the 8+ hours reassembling it to have to take it back apart again to change something.

Got it. I asked because some tuner can provide you a base map to get you to them.

This makes sense.

In order for me to help i needs some more info.

What is the brand of your injectors and do you have the data for them?

What brand is your map sensor?

Doe the engine have a working idle air control valve?

What transmission is it running and has the vehicle speed sensor been changed?

K swap vehicles can be fun. I tuned a Datson not to long ago.

Map sensor: https://www.ebay.com/itm/153548085802
(3 bar - unbranded)

Injectors: https://www.ebay.com/itm/202920457481
(1000cc)
"Smart Fire Injectors brand are individually hand selected, flow checked, and matched to within 2% of each other for optimum performance from your vehicle. All horsepower and injector CC/LB ratings are based upon a 80% duty cycle at 43.5 psi of fuel pressure based upon a BSFC of .50"

It has a 6 speed out of a tsx. As for the engine speed sensor? All sensors are factory. I will be tying in with the Lotus wheel speed sensor though.

As for the Idle Air control valve, if it is the sensor that goes to the bottom of the throttle body, then no I don't have it. If it goes anywhere else on the throttle body then yes I have it still.

Thanks!

Reach out to the ebay seller you purchased the injectors from and ask if they can provide you with the injector data.

Are the seconds in micro or mili?
