Failed ecu flash. Error code step 5

Post by Mikemehow »

Tried to reflash my ecu and it failed. Plugged the flashpro back into a laptop and code error code step 5.

-Locked the flashpro to my vin.
-Calibrated a flash onto the flashpro
-Plugged into obd port but the program like only stays solid red and then turns off.
- car will not start now and cant reflash back to stock
-Flashmangaer is updated to the newest update

The car did have a engine swap from another k20z3 and is it possible that the vin the ecu is thinking of is not the same as the vin on the windshield? I am using a desktop pc so I was not able to have the flashpro hooked up to the flashmanger and the car all at once.

With everything plugged in and the ignition in the on position, go to the Help menu and click on “send feedback”. Include a detailed description of the issue.
