Hello all.
Im coming to you all because i am stumped!
Last night i was driving the the car and and it just died while i was going around a corner. It would not re start . Checked for codes and now has a p0563 code.. cleared the code. Pulled the memory fuse for the ecu and the code re sets ..my fuel pump
Still works. Verified that its got enough pressure.
Has 2 green lights on the ecu.
This is my second prb ecu. The first one died doing something something similar( while driving. Making a turn, then dead)
Had the same code and i sent it in a hondata verified that its dead
This is a f20c swapped car. Has a pdm switching and fusing the power.
Has a master switch
Has a mid car mounted battery with an oddessy battery
Last time this happened i pulled the engine harness out of the cAr and tested every wire end to end and found nothing .
The only curious thing about this whole situation is the eld reading in kpro has always read 59.7amps. Im not even using the eld.. same reading for the eld on the last ecu as well
The ecu has been working flawlessly since i put it in and have had zero issues with other parts of the car or wiring.
I cant figure out where the high voltage code could be coming from.
Its a new alternator as well. I cant see that being the issue. Tried unplugging it to crank the engine but no change. ..
on the master switch i have every terminal isolated from each other as this is the only place where there could be any issues with shorting because of the exposed terminals
Help! I cant afford to keep buying prb ecus!
Prb kpro4 p0563 ..second kpro bricked?
Re: Prb kpro4 p0563 ..second kpro bricked?
P0563 means the main relay is not wired correctly. I think you need to move from looking for a fault in the wiring to looking for a fault in the design of the wiring.

I forgot to mention if it matter. That i am
Controlling everything with a morristech pdm 12
Master switch switching power to the pdm . The. Pdm switching the ecu on via rocker switch.
What should be the fuse rating be for the ecu switch and the constant power supply be?
Upon inspection of the board. I have burnt up a trace it seems

The ECU receives trickle power via the main relay coil side. If you get the P0563 error code it can indicate that you have wired +12V into the ECU low side output for the main relay, which will burn out the ECU eventually. This is pretty common with the fuel pump output too.

Ahhh i see.. ok where could i find the right pin out for a prb converted ecu?
Would this situation be a good use of a resistor pre ecu?
I have reached out to the maker of the harness for a diagram
And i have looked at the s2000 serice manual and at a glance the A
Connector does not have the 2 spots for ecu power in

You need to use to RSX wiring not the S2000. See the following diagram for the relay wiring.

Thanks for that
Looking at that diagram, theres a the fuel pump and main relay.
Are those 2 individual relays? Or are the relays found inside the main relay?

They are separate relays.

Ok so spending at least a week peeling the wiring apart. And testing the engine and chassis electronics end to end ive come up with a couple things
1. My aem wideband was wired with the brown analog - wired to the analog ground . The way that a few people who are reputable had suggested that wire this haha. I actually stumbled on another hondata forum where you were saying this is risky..
Measuring voltage on these wires i found that the brown analog neg wire has 5volts coming out of it.. then i remember you saying this is connecting to the ecu internal ground? Ive since fixed this. And jumped the trace and we have a running, working kpro and car
My question is
Would this likely be the cause of my adapter board burning up the trace headed to the light brown wire on the d connector and pin d4 i think? Its on the cam sensor side..
Or do i need to keep looking?
Thanks for all your help! Learning more every day!
