I got this ECU from a friend of mine and he used it for 2 years with no problems. I dont think it is the socketing job. There is no wiring to the ECu except the stock stuff. I took out the rom and one of the little legs on it are bent, could that be it? I'll try to get a pic on here

You can't see the light, you will see it when you put it in your car. It is a red light. It is on the side where the stuff plugs in.
