Re: VTC OIL CONTROL ALL THE SAME???

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a difference between the VTC Spool Valves among the different K motors. I have a K24A4 with k24A2 TSX Head, so which VTC Spool Valve Assy. would be utilized? There are different part numbers for the spool valve assy. between the "E-Vtec" and the &...

VTC OIL CONTROL ALL THE SAME???

OK I just used an 04 Accord K24A4 VTC oil control valve on my new TSX head now I have a check engine light for the VTC not being aligned. Before I go check my timing chain I just want to confirm if the VTC valve for all K series will work on any K Series head. I looked up the part number of RSX, Acc...

Re: K24A2 TSX CAM ANGLE MAX ADVANCE??????????????

Well im sure with the current cam angle degrees you should be fine, since you are turbo. You would want less cam angle since you will have a lot of back pressure with high cam angle + the turbo. Supercharge will be vice versa since you would want a higher cam angle degree on a Supercharge applicati...

Re: K24, GT35R, 1300cc injectors

Has this map been properly tuned on a dyno? I noticed after VTEC at 3000 RPM cam angle is set at 45 degree's up to 5200 RPM, is it really making the best power at that cam angle? I ask this because most turbo K series DO NOT like high cam angle under boost because of excessive overlap. Have you trie...

K24A2 TSX CAM ANGLE MAX ADVANCE??????????????

Dear HONDATA, I have dyno tuned a 100% stock Accord K24A4 engine with 6266 turbo sidewinder manifold with 3" exhaust all the way and it made the MOST power at ZERO degree cam angle under boost. Stock Accord K24A4 cam angle is maxed out at 20 degrees from factory. Hondata has an article about CU...

Horse power limitations?

OK, I have a K24A4 Turbo charged with Precision 6266 sidewinder, forged internals 1200cc injectors etc etc the works. I know that the developer of the Hondata is also a tuner himself and I would like to ask if you can shed some light on a very specific question regarding HP limitations. The car is v...

Re: IAT Ignition compensation

I wanted the IAT ignition to still work (Retard timing on High IAT temp) because I'am using a small intercooler and I will still see over 180F Intake temp on hot summer days, even with E85 I still think this is high enough to cause possible detonation. I just want an extra protection due to heat soa...

Re: IAT Ignition compensation

I did this to basically disable the Knock sensor logic of the ECU because I am using forged internals and do not want to see ghost or phantom knocks. I did not know that it has any effect on IAT compensation, How do you suggest solving this dilemma??? I want raw ignition tables without any intervent...

Re: IAT Ignition compensation

Here are the files you need, Notice that the ignition timing is the same as the main ignition table at 0 degree cam angle under VTEC (K24A4). Yes, 0 degree timing is the best cam angle for this particular Turbo K24A4 (stock K24A4 head not K20) for best power according to an actual dyno! It should be...

IAT Ignition compensation

I have reviewed a datalog run on 3rd gear, Under parameter I have set my ignition to retard 5 degrees of timing once it hits 130F IAT, but according to my datalog no ignition retard is happening and it still shows the same ignitiong timing on the main timing tables. I'am a bit worried that my Turbo ...
