Re: High IGN advance
The reason i didn't recommend playing with the tip parameters is because usually what causes spikes like that when you blip the throttle is a mechanical issue not so much the software. In my opinion you don't really need to make any changes to those parameters if you are running a oem style ignition...

Re: High IGN advance
Check your distributer's internal components. I personally had an engine that had a fried wire to the igniter and it caused a spike of over 80* advance. To say the least that engine is no longer with us. That would be the first area to look at, try switching over to a different kne and see if it hel...

Re: 56 Calibrations?
You don't need to buy a custom calibration just to start the car. Any of those will suffice. Now to get it running 100% then i would recommend a custom tune.

Re: High IGN advance
I do not think it's a software problem. Has it always done this or did it just start? Also a spike that large at that low of an rpm (or any rpm for that matter) will cause cylinder pressure to rise and cause knock.

Re: Turbo b18c 450cc injectors
here's a basemap to get you running. i do not recommend using it for anything but driving it to get tuned, but it should be safe enough under normal driving conditions.

Re: 56 Calibrations?
Those are the most refined maps that hondata puts out for us. If you want all the basemaps, go to show all filters and then check the box that says race calibration and they should all pop up. The map based calibrations are not really refined throughout updates. The first ones you see are maf based ...

Re: skunk2 stage 2 cam startup calibration.
Thats why i asked if the stock was used. The cam angle map in that particular kal provided in the software has the vtc advanced up to 45* which realistically is all the cam rotates. On the skunk2 website they recommend up to 40* for max power. So if the basemap is based off a stock block then in my ...

Re: skunk2 stage 2 cam startup calibration.
Thanks for the response, yes i will be watching my a/f ratios. I just wanted to be certain about the cam angles, don't want any valve/piston contact.

skunk2 stage 2 cam startup calibration.
hello, I recently installed a set of skunk2 stage 2 tuner cams on my 08 si and i was wondering if the startup basemap that is provided in the flashpro is based off the stock block (stock pistons)? I saw that it runs 45* cam angle and wanted to be certain that it is safe to run the basemap for the ti...
