Re: Lambda Overlay vs Active Tuning

Is there anybody on this forum that can give a brother a little help? I'm trying to understand if for fine tuning a given calibration should the: Active tuning be used or the lambda overlay? Or both one after the other and in which order? or neither because the Flashpro is WAY too complicated for a ...

Re: Lambda Overlay vs Active Tuning

2008 Civic SI
I've attached my screen prints, the calibration and the datalog.
From the screen prints I see different values in the common cells; some negative and some postive for the same cell and not all of the same cells are populated between the two different methods of tuning.

Re: Lambda Overlay vs Active Tuning

I load a calibration with Active Tuning activated (checked). I drive the car AND do a data log. I review the Active Tuning tables but do not merge them. I screen print the active tables. I load the data log after removing the flashpro. I load the calibration into the software. I review the lambda ov...

Re: Lambda Overlay vs Active Tuning

Should active tuning yield the same recommended changes to the fuel tables as the lambda overlay recommends for the same calibration driven over the exact same time period?
Another way to ask the same question:
Should both methods produce the same recommendations for changes to the fuel tables?

Lambda Overlay vs Active Tuning

I've been trying to fine tune my calibration after adding some exhaust mods. When I look at the recommended changes from the Active Tuning they vary substantially from the Lambda Overlay recommendations. With Intake, short headers, high flow cat and cat back, MAP calibration, is there a recommendati...

Re: Graph Button Does Not Work

If it is off the screen, I can't find it.
What I have done as a work-around is go to 'Window', click on 'Advanced Graph' then 'XY' Graph. 'XY' opens and then the 'Graph' tab works. Also when 'Window' is opened, the 'Graph' option is checked and it will not un-check. IDK.

Graph Button Does Not Work

Gen 8 Civic SI. I've been using Flashpro for over one year. Recently, the graph button on FlashPro Manager fails to produce a graph window. I've deleted the program and downloaded the newest version twice and when I close the program and reopen, the same problem: Graph button fails to produce a grap...

Seems to have dropped off the grid. He’s helped me a lot but recent attempts to communicate have gone unanswered. I’m concerned for him.

Air Conditioning During Acceleration

In order to get maximum available power during acceleration, it seems that the AC compressor should turn off during acceleration. Is this programmed into the stock ECU? If so, what parameters trigger this and what parameters turn it back on? This would be a nice feature to add to the FlashPro so tha...

Active Tuning Stock Tuned

Gen 8 SI Sedan Bone Stock using the Stock Tuned calibration. I assume that this calibration was made using some dyno time. If so, is there any advantage to also using the active tuning feature? If so, AFM or MAP? I've tried both and don't seem to be able to feel any difference. I have done a lot of ...

Is there any other way to verify that the secondary calibration did in fact upload?

Secondary Calibration Won't Upload

When I attempt to upload the secondary calibration stored on the Flashpro, it appears to upload the primary calibration. After following the steps involving the datalog button and the program button, the upload seems to proceed like any other upload. However when I then try to verify that the correct...

VTEC Crossover Tuning

2008 Civic SI completely stock using the Flashpro 'Completely Stock Tuned' calibration with AFM Active tuning. There is a very slight dip in power (seat of the pants dyno) at the 4350 rpm VTEC engagement. I have reviewed the 'Help' topic on VTEC Crossover Tuning. When I open the VTC tables, it appea...
