Re: Revs rising after engine mapping

I don't know precisely, other than the issue must have been due to the CPL map. I don't know if it was something to do with the fact that they used an unsupported calibration method, or whether they just didn't map it properly or did a really bad job. Because they deleted the map I paid for from the...

Re: Revs rising after engine mapping

Have you managed to eliminate the rev hang? Yes I have! Torque Developments International remapped my car for me and completely transformed it. The rev hang issue has gone, throttle response is superb, no more misfires and logs show no more detonation. They were extremely helpful and open, and had ...

Re: Revs rising after engine mapping

Hi there i'm a bit concerned about your experience with your tuner thought as you had bought a flashpro and paid for the remap it became your as even on identical cars the map wouldn't necessarily give the exact same results. Anyway all I wanted to say was I had my fairly standard gruppe m intake,h...

Re: misfire at 3500rpm

You don't have a working o2 sensor. Looking at the lambda would be a good start. Without the calibration we can't do anything. Thank you very much indeed, really appreciate that. I'll investigate the lambda sensor. Can I ask how you can tell that from the datalog, is that something I can do myself?...

Re: misfire at 3500rpm

Post the calibration as well. Unfortunately I can't as the tuner (CPL) refuses to provide it to me, despite leaving me with the rev hang issue as posted about here: https://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=22190 They have refused to offer any help with the rev hang issue and now this ...

misfire at 3500rpm

Hi there, I was hoping someone could maybe take a look at the data log file I've attached and let me know if there is anything "wrong" with it. My car (K20 supercharged Ariel Atom) has started "misfiring" at approx 3500rpm in pretty much every gear, most noticeably in 3rd and 4th...

Re: Revs rising after engine mapping

Hi there, as above is it possible any of the Hondata gents on here can elaborate on when a "race calibration" should be used as opposed to AFM/MAP based calibration? Also, what will my ECU serial number facilitate in regard to the "rev hang" issue? I greatly appreciate any help o...

Re: Revs rising after engine mapping

Regarding the "race calibration", just to add in case it is of any significance, as well as fitting the Hondata 4 bar MAP sensor (purchased from CPL) I also fitted a dedicated IAT sensor (as per my posts in this thread https://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=19462&start=...

Re: Revs rising after engine mapping

It probably should not have been tuned on a race calibration and should have instead been tuned with a AFM based calibration. He could then change the settings to tune it via MAP if he wants and have all the features necessary. That's worrying. Under what circumstances should "race calibration...

Re: Revs rising after engine mapping

Well I've sent a few emails to Guy at CPL regarding this issue and requesting a copy of the calibration file but it's quite clear they aren't interested in helping me in any way which is a real shame considering the money I've spent with them. I think the emails speak for themselves: 1.JPG 2.JPG 3.J...

Re: Revs rising after engine mapping

Your tuner has deleted it. You will need to get the calibration from the tuner. There is no other way to get the file at this point. It cannot be downloaded form the ECU. Thank you. I mistakenly assumed that the map/calibration would be accessible from the ECU (although I'm guessing it must be stor...

Re: Revs rising after engine mapping

Just to add, if the tuner HAS locked/protected the map to prevent editing and it's only location is on the ECU, what is the normal process then? Would I have to rely on the tuner being willing to look at the map for me to check for any issues such as the "rev hang" issue you illustrated ea...
