Re: 2009 Honda Civic si Calibration

Gotcha, I understand. Thank you for letting me know, I don't want you to worry about your engine, that is why we're trying to get the knock out so you can have peace of mind. The fueling looks good, so no more pulls. Just drive it normal, the sensitive area seems to be your highway driving in 6th ge...

Re: 2008 Si Sedan map suggestions please and thank you

Good idea to check everything. Yeah it's more inline now, so strange. I made a few fuel changes and we had one knock on fourth. So I made some adjustments for that. Here is the next one. We'll see how it looks now that things seem to be on track again.

Re: 2008 Si Sedan map suggestions please and thank you

Yeah that is strange in the datalog, it's almost like you shut the car off, but you say you didn't. The datalog showed even more lean areas on this one, I'm going to start looking around to see if I can find anything to be addressed. We haven't made any fuel adjustments since Rev14 or something, now...

Re: 2009 Honda Civic si Calibration

Okay, I set it at 3700 for you. Had one true knock which I made adjustments for, the other two were random launch control and some other random one. Give this one a drive and we'll see how it looks.

What RPM do you want launch control at, I'll change it in my files so it's where you want it...

Re: 2009 Honda Civic si Calibration

Probably single digit HP increase. Of course going from 91 to more octane would help. Once you go boosted and stuff is when E85 shines. if you run full E85 in your car, the sending unit will corrode and you won't have a fuel level gauge anymore. Honestly, without an ethanol sensor capability I would...

Re: 2009 Civic Si IHE Basemap

Great news! Just looked over the datalogs and they look solid. Really glad you're happy with it man. The combo definitely works, this one was a lot of fun to work on. I'll shoot you a PM with my email if you really want to send a few bucks.

Re: 2009 Honda Civic si Calibration

As far as an E blend, you can run 7 gallons of 91 and 3 gallons of e85. You would need injectors to run it and two calibrations if you wanted to run 91 pump and the e blend. If you ran the E blend tune, and all you could get it 91, you would have to drive it very calm, and no WOT. The fuel trims wou...

Re: 2008 Si Sedan map suggestions please and thank you

Interesting, okay. Yeah I just double checked the differences between the two files and I did add fuel there. We'll see how the next datalog looks and go from there.

Re: 2009 Civic Si IHE Basemap

Interesting. Yeah it definitely works. Temps aren’t too bad, but it definitely works. I’ve never works with a 1320 header either. It must be the combo of parts you have. I’ve never had a car demand the 40* cam angle out to redline. Most setups like yours finish on the 30* cam, less mods down to 0-15...

Re: Street Tune WOT Pull Check?

Yeah if you're comfortable making the ignition changes, when you get ready to make a datalog, make a file with the k control bypassed and take it out for a drive while the IAT's are around 80* ish. Be sure to get ready to pull over and make changes, so log with your laptop open, once you bypass the ...

Re: 2009 Civic Si IHE Basemap

I see, so it has the 2 stepped size pipe? Does it go back by the header, or did you move the battery and it's behind the headlight?

Made some changes for the knock some more. Trying to creep up on it, hopefully we're there now.

Re: Street Tune WOT Pull Check?

I see, yeah the ignition tables are too much for 91 octane, I have had cars that need down in the 14* range where your car knocks to avoid knock. Which seeing how yours knock at 17*, it might be the same thing. You said you're happy with how the car drives otherwise? Looking through the tune I see y...

Re: Street Tune WOT Pull Check?

In regard to ignition, I'm guessing you run 91 octane? If so, there is way too much timing in the area of knock you're seeing. At your area of knock, you have 22* in the table, and the ECU is pulling 5-7* to deliver 17* at that point to avoid knock and it's still knocking. Verify your octane rating ...

Thank you. Yes I see what you are saying. That is strange. I will verify what revision is loaded and update you. Hope it was just something on my end. Will not be to get that done until later today. Yeah I mean my goal is to get your car consistent over multiple days, but this is impressive if it i...
