Honda Civic Maintenance
I need to do back breaks on my 2018, they rotted away from sitting around for the last year +, and read that Honda uses a special function to put the breaks into maintenance mode. This backs off the electric parking breaker servos. It would be really cool if Hondata could add this feature to the Fla...

Re: Takeda Cold Air Intake - Which Tune To Use
I have the same setup on my 2018 sport and I use the +6 PSI Hondata tune and it works just fine. Note, take the extra effort and properly relocate and support the sensor cable. Its a tight install and you could damage the cable.

TC maximum pressure ratio
Can I assume the X axis labels (0.526 - 1.0) on the TC maximum pressure ratio table are ratios of atmospheric pressure? Meaning 1.0 is sea level (~14.7psi) and 0.526 would be 7.73psi or 16,734 ft @ 15'c above sea level?

Re: Hondata Mode not working in 3.2.9
Spunkster, Agreed, ...and after I converted all of the Bar values over to PSIg I can see that my datalogs are exactly where they should to be. So, was there a problem with the old +6 PSI tune? Was it overboosting? Was the cylinder fill knock air limit different? I noticed the +7 PIS boost is gone fr...

Re: Hondata Mode not working in 3.2.9
yes,
So, what has the absolute control over boost? Spark timing, fuel, cams, boost by gear, traction control?
Something changed from 3.1.X to today? Is it the boost by gear limiting the total boost? There are few variables with the CARB version to consider. so what is it?

Re: Hondata Mode not working in 3.2.9
Spunkster, take a look at datalog 2 around 45 seconds into the run. I was on the highway in 6th and when I put the pedal down the boost reached ~16 PSI, peaking at 17 PSI. I think this is where something is wrong. Yes, it looks like in lower gears the boost is over 20 PSI which I suppose sounds abou...

Re: Hondata Mode not working in 3.2.9
Right. But when I'm in Hondata mode and rolling on the gas in 4-6 there is only about 16-17 PIS of boost. Honda claims the factory boost level in a Civic sport hatch is ~16 PSI. I don't have any original tunes, but there was a big difference before and after.

Re: Hondata Mode not working in 3.2.9
also, run 2 has highway speeds in 6th. I see the boost peaks out at 17psi.
Thanks and let me know if this is typical and what changed from 3.1.0.

Re: Hondata Mode not working in 3.2.9
I made a few runs, the last 0005 was traction control off and it spun in 1st and 2nd. The things we do for science. Hope the clutch and trans holds up. By the seat of the pants dyno I think the difference is really felt in the higher gears, 4-6. With the previous +6psi tunes from last summer I could...
