It is a PnP one, and I don't know why I wouldn't have the CELs on the previous one but I do on this one. This O2 is the Denso 234-9005 which is for the RSX type-S. Is it bad to be running open loop? Sorry for the dumb questions, but this is not really my area of expertise. I will datalog sometime so...

I have changed out the primary O2 and now the problems seemed to have gone away. It doesn't feel like I'm going to buck through the dashboard when I shift, and the performance is back. I haven't gone through a tank of gas to see whether or not the fuel economy is back to normal. I also haven't datal...

I went out for a typical drive today and did some datalogging (for quite some time). I have uploaded the log to my server as it kept getting an upload error here. Can anyone offer me some ideas on troubleshooting? There is obviously a problem with the AF as it is quite erratic. Datalog (~5 degrees C...

It just seems so odd because of how extreme it is. I could possibly see a slight drop in fuel economy, but this is insane! Is there anything for which I should look to diagnose the problem?

Thank you for your prompt reply though. :)

Extreme loss of performance and fuel economy

Hello, Firstly, here is a summary of my car specs and such: KManager Version: 1.3.9 Vehicle: 2004 USDM Honda Civic LX coupe with JDM K20a (ITR) swap (Y2M3 tranny) - custom CAI and exhaust ECU: PND with K-pro I have had this same setup for a couple years now. Last year around this time I had the same...

I don't have access to an RSX base-model to test it, unfortunately.

So, I shouldn't go off of the wiring diagram on the Hondata site (using the relay) or the diagram from Xproductionz ( http://www.xproductionz.com/k20swap/k20swap.html )?

Also, at this point, can I be sure that it is the wiring?

Alrighty. Today I got my O2 sensor from a 2004 Civic Si and wired it in. However, I still through the same CEL and get no AFR when datalogging. However, at least with this one I can disable P1167 (the heater) and then it throws P0134. At least now I can get my car to pass emissions (failed because o...

I know that Eddie caused more damage then he fixed. I can't help any of that now. I've checked and rechecked my wiring, and it all seems completely fine. I just was checking to make sure that this will fix my problem; that it makes sense. To me, it does but I was looking for another opinion.

According to Matt, this will fix the problem, since now the O2 sensor will match the PND ECU, and the RSX-S sensor didn't match it. I was just checking before I dished out $200 for that damn sensor.

O2

Hello, After struggling with my P1166 CEL for months, I think I finally got somewhere. Here's the short version of the issue. 1. I have a 2004 JDM K20a-R engine in my 2004 USDM Civic LX coupe. 2. I sent my PRC ECU to True-Honda for K-Pro installation. 3. Eddie said it couldn't be done on that PRC, s...

I just checked that fuse and it is fine. I bought the O2 sensor from the JDM K20a-R and am using that. I looked again, and my AEM AF gauge runs off of the secondary O2 sensor, so that shouldn't be a problem. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought wideband O2 sensors were 5-wire, not 4, like I have. ...

After months of trying, I can't seem to figure out this problem. I have purchased a new primary O2 sensor and wired it up according to the wiring diagram. Are there any other recommendations of the next step to take? Are there any other possible problems that could be causing my P1166 CEL and lack o...

Okay, thanks a bunch! When you say it may change soon, will it be easy to change back? Meaning, if I remove it now to get my CEL to go away, and you come up with a workaround in a few months, will it be easy for me to reinstall my AFR gauge?

Thanks again,
Zach

AFR

Hello, I currently have an AEM A/F Ratio gauge installed on my K20. However, I'm throwing a CEL because the stock primary O2 isn't hooked up to the K-pro. Is there a way that I can hook up the stock primary O2 into the K-pro (per the wiring schematic) AND keep my AEM gauge? Basically, I want the K-p...
